The soda bet

Soda is a weakness for both Melissa and I.  For her it’s pepsi, fountain coke, or ice cold coke in 8oz glass bottles. For me, it’s Cherry Coke, Apple Soda, fountain coke from McDonalds, and fountain coke in movie theaters.  Yeah, I know…pretty silly, but it’s the truth. We have both quite drinking soda for extended periods of time, but mostly for bragging rights. This time we’re a little more serious about it because there are higher stakes on the table. I have been fighting with GERD for far too long, to the point where on doctor’s recommendations I am taking twice the recommended daily dosage of Prilosec.  Recently there have been studies that indicate that taking certain hearburn drugs… » Read More

MobileMe, my calendar events, and Microsoft

August 26th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

I have recently been helping a friend out with setting up their MobileMe account on Windows with their new iPhone.  I have also set it up for myself on the MacBookPro (MBP).  So until questions I cannot answer come in, I will consider myself a Pro at setting this up and continue through this article. The main reason why my friend got MobileMe was so that she could sync her calendar and be able to update it whenever and wherever she is.  Like I said before, she is on Windows. On the MBP, I already had Mail.app and iCal running with multiple Google Accounts and pulling any and every calendar I can get my grubby little digital hands on.  In… » Read More

I went to Best Buy and bought a mini DVI adapter to Regular DVI, because thats what the guy said I needed.  In fact I needed mini displayPort to DVI. A quick run to the Apple Store (where I should have gone before), and I got the adapter and a laptop stand.  The result: Sphere: Related Content… » Read More

My MacBook: The Apple of my Eye

I am trying very hard to get the new 15″ MacBook Pro. I have been doing tons of side work, trying to find new clients for CloudSync, and saving as much money as possible. I will have this computer, if I don’t get sleep for a week, I will have this laptop. As Wayne said, “She will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine”. Currently I have $1000 that I have managed to save towards the $2,500.00 since Jan 1. Being that it is the 24th, I am making about $42/day toward the current laptop of my dreams. At this rate, I will be able to get the laptop (without tax) around middle to late February.  However, I have… » Read More
