Seriously though, the reason that I grow my hair and beard out when I want to push myself towards something is that it is a really good motivator.  I can tie a string to my finger, but those fall off and get lost.  I could write myself a note, but I lose my todo lists and I keep those in our Project Management software.  The main reason is that it is always there, it is right up front, “in my face” (haha). I am sorry to say there are not a ton of Movember updates for today.  I went to KC on black Friday to get my new truck, replace some parts & do maintenance, and then today I drove the whole day away from KC to Denver.  Basically, I did zero amount of work on anything pertaining to computers, the internet or Movember (other than grow my beard) this weekend.  I am crashing pretty quickly so it is off to bed for me.  I have to get up and be a programmer in the morning, so sleep is imperative. I am helping to organize a party for Dec 4th to benefit The Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.  Both of these charities are aimed at ridding the world of Prostate Cancer, or at least demote it to the level of the common cold. The party will be at The Rackhouse Pub on Kalamath and Alameda in Denver, CO.  We already have a ton of prizes lined up (see the eventbrite page) and some great people coming. Well, so in my efforts to plan this event to raise some money I had two things happen yesterday, one good and one possibly not good.  The possibly not good one first, its possible that the location I found for the party may not be able to have us.  They have promised me a definite answer today by 3pm.
