Product Review: Ergotron Neo-Flex

March 11th, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

According to FTC rules, I have to disclose that I was given this product by Ergotron for the purpose of doing a product review. When I was at CES in January I noticed a booth from a company called Ergotron, who I had never heard of (this is actually not true, as you will find out), so I jumped into the booth and started looking around. Immediately, my eyes were drawn to a poster talking about the possibility of winning an Ergotron product for tweeting a picture of myself in their booth.  The result: A couple weeks later, I was contacted by Ergotron announcing that I had won! They gave an email detailing the items that I could choose from…. » Read More

Day 12 NSN starting out…interesting

November 12th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

Well, so in my efforts to plan this event to raise some money I had two things happen yesterday, one good and one possibly not good.  The possibly not good one first, its possible that the location I found for the party may not be able to have us.  They have promised me a definite answer today by 3pm. The good news is that I talked with Eric at The LoHi Steakbar, who very kindly donated a $50 gift certificate to raffle off at the party. I am going tonight to another business to hopefully get some more items to give away or raffle. If you are interested in going to the party, even though I don’t know where it… » Read More

A friend is asking for help…should I?

August 18th, 2009 § 12 comments § permalink

About Me/BackStory I might regret admitting this: In almost EVERY SINGLE situation, if a friend or even an acquaintance needs help of any kind I am there 100% to help out in any way possible.  I will help friends move, give free advice on WordPress or other web stuff, pick up a friend from the airport at 11:00pm because her flight was cancelled, I have even run into the burning house of people I didn’t know. It’s who I am and what I do, I always have. Sometimes, I even go out looking for ways I can help.  I have been known to ask NPOs like the 1010Project if I can promote what they are doing through my Twitter feed,… » Read More

Startup Weekend Part II

June 9th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

Since Startup Weekend, I have noticed the impact that having that many top-notch people around in one place has had on those same top-notch people. Many different blog posts, tweets and general conversation has come out of this weekend.  So I am going to do my best to aggregate some of that information here. A Vacuum Cleaner and the Fate of Humanity

May 12th, 2009 § 3 comments § permalink

I haven’t written a blog post in a long time, but someone suggested I tell this story. I have a bunch of stuff I need to sell, so I figured Craig’s List was the place to go.  Things like, a 5DVD change, a Vacuum, a desk, and some movies.  Simple, easy, 5 minute transactions.  “Here’s your stuff, thank you for the money”.  Seriously, this is what every transaction I have ever been a part of has consisted of. This however has not been the case for the last 3 days. I posted the items on Sunday night and sold some of the movies right away, like within an hour.  I didn’t hear anything else until the next day. This is… » Read More

How to put a Digg badge on every page of your blog, automatically

February 13th, 2009 § 2 comments § permalink

The easiest way to put a digg tag on every page of your blog, is to use WordPress widgets. Go to the widgets, add a text widget and paste the following code in: <script type="text/javascript"> digg_url = document.location.href; </script> <script src="http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Then, go to your homepage and refresh!  If your page is in Digg you will see how many times it has been dugg. If not it will say “submit”. Then, if someone likes it or you want to put the article into digg, then just click the badge! Good Luck! Sphere: Related Content… » Read More

I’ve Started A New Project: My City Headlines

February 8th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

Yes, I have heard it more times than I can count: How many projects do you have? The answer is, too many, of course!  When you are a person like me, your mind is constantly racing and you see ideas and opportunity everywhere.  Or at least I like to think that it is that…and not just insanity. I started a new project recently, called My City Headlines. The idea behind the project is to aggregate specific city’s news in one place.  This provides people with a single location to get their local news without having to search multiple sites. I am inspired by Guy Kawasaki’s AllTop.com.  They pick a subject, any subject, and find the top news/blog sites on that… » Read More
