I have been traveling a ton since Jan 1 for my company Spotted Koi. Going to networking events, meeting with potential new customers, and also with customers that we have and continue to work with. So far, it has been alright except that I frequently have to pull over and use my iPhone Google Maps to find a spot to crash between meetings. Not only that, but the cost of driving around the block a couple times and then buying a drink so I don’t feel guilty adds up pretty quickly. What I am proposing is a website/app that will help me out by doing the following: Grab my schedule from my calendar, along with addresses for where I need… » Read More

I love my iPhone4, and the HDR feature is pretty awesome – for some things. Pretty much any time you are moving, or if there is a sign in the image HDR will cause some weird issues. The other thing I have found is that it gets weird in places with lots of detail, like on a trail, or whenever there is snow. Here are some of the weirdest images we got from our Glacier trip. Information about HDR from Wikipedia. Sphere: Related Content… » Read More

So, I realized that I had a whole bunch of garbage music in my collection and decided that I really wanted to get rid of the crap and keep the good stuff. I needed a way to do this methodically. iTunes has a couple of great ways you can do this: Play Count, by Genre, by unclicking songs, etc. First things first, I had about 10GB of duplicates, so I used their duplicate finder and deleted all but one of every single song that showed up. It was easily 10GB of duplicates. This was a small victory, because I got rid of so much junk, but I still had something like 39 days of music left. Next, I scanned through… » Read More

This is a weird “feature” in the iPhone, but a cool one and it is simple to do! Start a call with someone Navigate to your iPod app and start it up Choose a song or podcast Enjoy! The other person will not be able to hear it, and you should still be able to hear them over the music! Sphere: Related Content… » Read More

I have recently been helping a friend out with setting up their MobileMe account on Windows with their new iPhone. I have also set it up for myself on the MacBookPro (MBP). So until questions I cannot answer come in, I will consider myself a Pro at setting this up and continue through this article. The main reason why my friend got MobileMe was so that she could sync her calendar and be able to update it whenever and wherever she is. Like I said before, she is on Windows. On the MBP, I already had Mail.app and iCal running with multiple Google Accounts and pulling any and every calendar I can get my grubby little digital hands on. In… » Read More

I just got the iPhone 3Gs and set everything up the way I thought it should be. But I was wrong, I ended up with every single contact I have duplicated on the phone because MobileMe and iTunes were both pushing data. What did I do wrong? I set up MobileMe first. The reason why this does not work, is that when you get all your contacts from your computer and THEN set up MobileMe it will ask whether you want to merge your contacts. Setting up MobileMe first did not give me that option because there were no contacts on the phone. Then I hooked it up to iTunes and everything was on there twice. So, if you run… » Read More
