Melissa and I have just been hanging out at the apartment for most of the day. I made some phone calls yesterday and found the truck I have been looking for in Kansas City. So, I have been working out all the details for me to go into KC next weekend to pick it up, do some work on it and drive it back to Denver. I am very excited.

I am helping to organize a party for Dec 4th to benefit The Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Both of these charities are aimed at ridding the world of Prostate Cancer, or at least demote it to the level of the common cold.
The party will be at The Rackhouse Pub on Kalamath and Alameda in Denver, CO. We already have a ton of prizes lined up (see the eventbrite page) and some great people coming. Since the event is to celebrate the Mo (Mustache or Moustache if you’re english) we are going to be having some barbers come and clean up our No Shave November Beards into Awesome Metal Mustaches. We’re going to leave it up to he barber to decide what they will look like, should be fun!
In order to continue to get great prizes, sponsorship and to keep my sanity I really need you to RSVP ASAP if you are going. There is a core group of people who have been working hard to make sure that this event is big and lots of fun, so please show your support for the cause and these people by hitting the RSVP button and reserving a spot for our party on your calendar. Plus, all you have to do is show up, drink some beer, and enjoy all the mustachioed goodness of a Movember party!

Yesterday the Camry’s transmission decided that it was going on strike or at least that it was going to be VERY lazy. So, I have started looking for a new car. I think I want a Toyota truck like a Tundra or a 4Runner. If you know anyone, please tell me!

Well, it’s halfway through the month and my beard is, well… not grown in as much as I would like. Oh well.
Yesterday was a good day for getting things ready for the Metal Mustache Party. I got a great location lined up and some great prizes for the raffle as well.
The wall hanging over my left shoulder (right side) is from Japan. Melissa got it for me while she was there for work.

A day for thought
Today is a day for thought, which should explain why I took my pic the way I did today. I am thinking about the event I want to hold on Dec 4th, and where to have it. I have an idea I am going to investigate today, but who knows really. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Well, so in my efforts to plan this event to raise some money I had two things happen yesterday, one good and one possibly not good. The possibly not good one first, its possible that the location I found for the party may not be able to have us. They have promised me a definite answer today by 3pm. The good news is that I talked with Eric at The LoHi Steakbar, who very kindly donated a $50 gift certificate to raffle off at the party.
I am going tonight to another business to hopefully get some more items to give away or raffle.
