Well, so in my efforts to plan this event to raise some money I had two things happen yesterday, one good and one possibly not good.  The possibly not good one first, its possible that the location I found for the party may not be able to have us.  They have promised me a definite answer today by 3pm. The good news is that I talked with Eric at The LoHi Steakbar, who very kindly donated a $50 gift certificate to raffle off at the party. We are on track for an exciting event at the end of the month with our Movember.com Team: The Metal Mustaches. So far we have 17 members, have raised $70 and are in talks with tons of people about getting on the team or participating in some way. My beard seems a little skittish about growing, but I can tell you it is coming in.  Also, somehow the camera on my laptop is causing me to look about 10 years younger than I actually am.  All in all it is pretty funny. I shaved my beard on the first, and will be growing it out all month in support of Movember.com’s efforts to raise money to fight and teach about Men’s Cancers.  Specifically, this year they are raising money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. I have started a team, the Metal Mustaches, that ANYONE can join. Yes you too ladies (You don’t have to grow a beard, just support the team).
