About Me/BackStory I might regret admitting this: In almost EVERY SINGLE situation, if a friend or even an acquaintance needs help of any kind I am there 100% to help out in any way possible. I will help friends move, give free advice on WordPress or other web stuff, pick up a friend from the airport at 11:00pm because her flight was cancelled, I have even run into the burning house of people I didn’t know. It’s who I am and what I do, I always have. Sometimes, I even go out looking for ways I can help. I have been known to ask NPOs like the 1010Project if I can promote what they are doing through my Twitter feed,… » Read More

Truth be told, I was not going to go to StartupWeekend-Boulder last weekend. I was going to go camping with my Fiance. However, the weather worked out so that was a bad idea (wet tents and apartment life mean lots of mold). Not only that, but my friend Jason was all over me about StartupWeekend. At one point he seriously said, You MUST go if you are serious about startups. My first reaction to this was that Jason was just being obsessive. Turns out, my gut reaction was way wrong. I thanked Jason probably three different times for harrassing me (about 12 emails… seriously) to go. Why did I thank Jason? Because, not only did I go, I pitched an… » Read More

The easiest way to put a digg tag on every page of your blog, is to use WordPress widgets. Go to the widgets, add a text widget and paste the following code in: <script type="text/javascript"> digg_url = document.location.href; </script> <script src="http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Then, go to your homepage and refresh! If your page is in Digg you will see how many times it has been dugg. If not it will say “submit”. Then, if someone likes it or you want to put the article into digg, then just click the badge! Good Luck! Sphere: Related Content… » Read More

I ran into a problem with one of the blogs that I manage, there was no way to upgrade a plugin. It just wouldn’t get past the FTP information form. I put the correct FTP information in, and that failed too. I was out of options, so I went searching and found a plugin called “One Click Plugin Updater“. This plugin actually saved me a ton of work, and trouble in the future because it has some amazing features. First of which, is that if you have any plugins that need to be upgraded, it will upgrade all of them at the same time. Secondly, it bypasses the craziness that WordPress runs into, which would cause you to have to… » Read More

I have had a Commission Junction account for years, but never really had a good place to try it out. I have something like 2000 advertisers who accepted my sites, mostly because I had grand aspirations to create the single greatest affiliate advertising website on the internet. Reality hit me upside the head, and I gave up those aspirations of grandeur. Plus, it was a freaking horrible idea. Anyways, I still have an account with Commission Junction (CJ), so I figured I would try to put some ads up on Failed Proposals. The site is all about videos and stories of failed wedding proposals. So, it fits that I would want to put wedding related ads on the site. I… » Read More
